Nanny/Housekeeper & PA's in Surrey

Live-in or Live-out Nanny Housekeeper

A nanny housekeeper is required when the role involves supporting both the children and the wider household, rather than childcare alone.

A nanny housekeeper can be employed on either a live-in or daily basis, with duties tailored to the individual needs of each family. The role is generally a combination of childcare, household organisation and light housekeeping.

A nanny housekeeper is not a replacement for a dedicated cleaner. The housekeeping element would generally involve supporting the smooth running of the family home alongside childcare, rather than undertaking full domestic cleaning. Where a family requires regular deep cleaning, cleaning of bathrooms and toilets or full cleaning of the property, we would generally recommend employing a separate cleaner.

Typical duties may include:

  • Light housework and tidying
  • Children’s laundry and ironing
  • Preparing children’s meals or a family meal
  • Childcare and babysitting
  • School drop-offs and collections
  • Running errands, such as post office or dry cleaning
  • Organising cupboards, children’s clothes and general household items
  • Keeping children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy
  • Loading and unloading the dishwasher and tidying after family meals
  • Accepting deliveries
  • Food shopping
  • Dog walking and pet care where required
  • Proxy parenting where appropriate

At The Surrey Nanny Agency, we source nanny housekeepers for busy professional households on a full-time, part-time, permanent or temporary basis.

We work closely with Social Services, providing respite and convalescent care for families, and therefore take a compassionate and understanding approach to each family’s individual needs.

We advise all clients prior to commencement to agree the expectations, working hours and duties clearly. This ensures that both the family and nanny have a clear understanding of the role from the outset.

EA/PA Roles

Time management is such a huge component of our everyday lives that finding the right help, such as a personal assistant (PA) can be literally ‘life-changing’!
Whilst each role will be different and customised to suit the employer’s requirements, it is evident that there are huge benefits to hiring a PA and not just to make life run more smoothly.
An effective and trusted PA will optimise your ability to focus on your business objectives, allowing you to grow your business whilst they skilfully manage the everyday demands of an office. An effective PA will also facilitate enhanced quality time with your family and the opportunity to develop your own skills and hobbies.

* Setting reminders for meetings, appointments and other important tasks

Contact Supervisions -
Working with Social Services

When courts order supervised contact it is entirely up to the judge’s discretion to decide exactly what protections are necessary and the level of supervision that is required.
The purpose of supervised visitation is to ensure that parents have an opportunity to maintain contact with their children in a structured environment that is both safe and comfortable for the child.
Some parents may end up agreeing to a supervised visitation plan without a judge’s order.
There are many things that can vary between arrangements.

* Where the supervised visits will happen
* Who accompanies the child during the visit
* How long the visit is for
* How much of the visit must be supervised
* Whether the person supervising is a family member or someone appointed by the court
* How long the supervised visitation requirements last for
* Where will the supervised visit occur?

Supervised visitation is designed to protect the safety of children. The Surrey Nanny Agency are able to provide a safe and neutral place for children to meet the parent or family members, who are in need of supervision.
Our trained staff will observe and supervises the contact between the child and non-resident parent to ensure the safety of those involved and are able to provide written appropriately detailed and accurate observation reports following each session. These are intended to be a summary of the session that has taken place which can be used for future court hearings.
The Surrey Nanny Agency operate for the best interest of the child.
